Meituan (Chinese: 美团; pinyin: Měituán; formerly Meituan–Dianping) is a Chinese technology company that operates a platform for local services including on‑demand food delivery, in‑store services and consumer reviews under the Dazhong Dianping brand, hotel and travel bookings, and instant retail. The company is headquartered in Beijing and was founded in 2010 by Wang Xing. The company launched an initial public offering on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in September 2018. By the end of 2024, Meituan had over 770 million annual transacting users and over 14.5 million annual active merchants on its platform.
